Indonesian Movie won Platinum Remi Award at the Houston Film Festival

Pirate Brothers is one of the premiere movie that aired on the AMC Studio, Houston Remi Awards and compete in the category of Independent Theatrical Feature Films & Video.

"Pirate Brothers", an action movie made by Asun Mawardi from Indonesia won the Platinum Remi Award at the Houston International Film Festival (HIFF), in Houston, United States.

The film festival is held on April the 13th to 22nd, is an arena of competition and the appreciation for the works of the world's best films.
 
The awarding ceremony was held in the Gala Dinner at the Marriott Hotel, Houston, Saturday night (21/4), local time, which was also attended by Consul General in Houston, Al Busyra Basnur, as released by the Consulate General in Houston, through electronic messages.

Over 700 films (500 films and 200 documentaries commercial) participated in the festival.

The committee took 50 to 60 films to be shown in the display width of the premiere, next to the selection committee for the fight Remi Awards.
 
The Remi Awards are hotly contested categories were: Independent Short Subject Films & Video, Independent Theatrical Feature Films & Video, Independent Experimental Films & Video, Independent Student Films & Video and Television, Cable and Web-Based Production.

Asun Mawardi said very happy and grateful to his films won the prestigious award. "I can show to the world that Indonesia films can be good and could win an international festival," said Asun.

Festival in Houston this is the first time its participation in international festivals, and immediately won.
 
Meanwhile, Consul General Houston, Al Busyra Basnur Indonesia says proudly films won awards at prestigious international festival.
